Chicago Bulls Center Joakim Noah Gets the Bird
“Bulls center Joakim Noah leaves the game as a fan reacts in Game 2 playoffs against the Heat at Miami’s American Airlines Arena. The woman, identified as Filomena Tobias, became an internet sensation. Her daughter told the Sun-Sentinel: “She’s embarrassed, but she is being a good sport. She was having fun just like any other fan. All she has to say is that people need to get a life.”
Here’s a classic example of improper proper fan etiquette. If you’re embarrassed by this, then it’s wrong. Period. No wiggle room. If there’s nothing wrong with this, why would you be embarrassed?
Because Filomena Tobias is a bad sports fan, she will be forever remembered for a brief, yet memorable incident that will haunt her forever. It can’t be undone. Think before you act people, there’s always someone around with a camera, phone, or tablet to ensure your infantile moment is remembered forever.
Do note – she did apologize and asked to be left alone. Apparently doesn’t like the notoriety.
It didn’t take long for the internet attacks and memes that followed:
Oh dear. We have reports that she has changed her identity, (which really isn’t that surprising) and sold her house, which ironically, was right next to Michael Jordan’s house. When you are the widow of a hedge-funder (Seth Tobias, her fourth husband that was found dead in their pool), you can afford things like court-side seats near the dressing room exit.
“We were getting closer to the playoffs,” a source close to Tobias says, “and she thought all this stuff was going to bubble up again. She was really freaked out last year when she ended up all over the world and when reporters were calling her house.
“She wanted a fresh start.”
Her name now? Mia Manente.
Personally, we think she should aspire to be more like Miami Heat fan Alyssa Nelson.
Who’s a better Miami Heat sports fan?
